Book of John chapter 1 HOLY BIBLE
Lord willing, I'll put up more until either God takes me home or the rapture occurs. Warning: should God's rapture of His Church occur these readings will cease. At which time you must find your own Authorized (King James KJV) Version of the Bible and continue reading on your own.
Book of John chapter 3 HOLY BIBLE
John 3 1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: 2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. 3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. 9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be? 10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things? 11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. 12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? 13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. 22 After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judaea; and there he tarried with them, and baptized. 23 And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized. 24 For John was not yet cast into prison. 25 Then there arose a question between some of John's disciples and the Jews about purifying. 26 And they came unto John, and said unto him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Jordan, to whom thou barest witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all men come to him. 27 John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven. 28 Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him. 29 He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled. 30 He must increase, but I must decrease. 31 He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all. 32 And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony. 33 He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true. 34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. 35 The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. 36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
Which Bible?
On Sunday morning March 23, 2008 at Lighthouse Baptist Church, Pastor David Grice briefly discusses the differences in Bible versions and the misconception that the KJV is too archaic to understand, and then he draws an interesting parrallel between the "science" of modern textual criticism and the "science" of evolutionary thought.
1/4 3.23.08 .Easter : Live Passionately One Month To Live
Live Passionately One Month To Live -- Part 1 Easter Sunday: March 23, 2008 Luke 23:44 -- 24:8 (Jesus -- Age 12) "I must be about my Father's business" Luke 2:49 (KJV) (Jesus -- Age 33) "Jesus said, "It is finished." With that, he bowed his head and gave up His spirit." John 19:30b (NIV) The Clarifying Question: "If I knew I had one month to live, how would I live my life?"
The Attack
It seems that everywhere I go, from the Atlanta Passion Play, to the so called Christian book stores, to the American church, people are using watered down bibles that have changed and watered down the truth of God's Holy and Inspired Word. I know the Southern Baptist Denomination has abandoned the KJV, and many other groups as well. Well here is another little booklet by Chick Publications about the very thing I'm seeing in American Christianity.
Think Before You Speak
Howdy Bingolly1. Thanks for your videos. This wasn't originally intended as a response to your latest video, but it was a coincidence that you uploaded it at the same time. The topic is about a different hate, but hate nonetheless. I had hoped that some of the worst offenders would appear. They did not. Others appeared having nothing at all to do with the topic. I'd hate to see people wrongly judged as there are many decent Christians who are merely guilty of reading misinformation that they took as horrifying fact. I noticed that some people seem to be especially talented at demonizing others. I see in some people something that had control of me at one point that I have tried very hard to get rid of. Some people claim to not hate other groups of people even as they set out to demonize those people. They rationalize in their hearts that they can do this because there's a threat to themselves, their country or someone else because of the presence of that group of people. They then claim to only hate what the people are a part of and not the poor lost people that are part of said group. I know. I did it too. Are you a follower of Jesus Christ? Does that mean demonizing others who profess faith in Jesus Christ but who attend a different sort of church? Do you venture well past doctrinal issues and go right for the jugular, attacking people for the way they look and dress? Are your videos motivated by hatred? Do you dress and act deceitfully so you can harass fellow believers? Is that what it means to be a Christian? Is that charity? Do you use images of others who profess faith in Christ and distort those images to make those you disagree with look like demons? Is that charity in your church? Do you say that you don't hate Mormons, Catholics, Jehovah's Witnesses, Baptists, Methodists, Pentecostal believers and then talk to them like they're no better than dogs? Do you demean them, call them names? I had posted another version of this video yesterday, but have generalized it some and have removed the links that were condemning others. I was unsure about whether it was right for me to point fingers at them despite what I saw as reprehensible behavior. Only God knows what is in their hearts.
4-2-08 "our best" Jude 1:1-4
Pastor David Grice preaches at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Grand Prairie, Texas on April 2, 2008. Jude 1:1-4 "Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called: Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied. Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Timothy 4:1-4 "I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables."
Book of John chapter 10 HOLY BIBLE
John 10 1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. 2 But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. 4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. 5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. 6 This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them. 7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. 8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. 9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. 10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. 11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. 12 But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. 13 The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep. 14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. 15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. 16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. 17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. 18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father. 19 There was a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings. 20 And many of them said, He hath a devil, and is mad; why hear ye him? 21 Others said, These are not the words of him that hath a devil. Can a devil open the eyes of the blind? 22 And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was winter. 23 And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's porch. 24 Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly. 25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me. 26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. 30 I and my Father are one. 31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him. 32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me? 33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God. 34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? 35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; 36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God? 37 If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not. 38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him. 39 Therefore they sought again to take him: but he escaped out of their hand, 40 And went away again beyond Jordan into the place where John at first baptized; and there he abode. 41 And many resorted unto him, and said, John did no miracle: but all things that John spake of this man were true. 42 And many believed on him there.
4-6-08 "use it or lose it"
Clips from a sermon delivered by pastor David Grice on Sunday evening April 6, 2008 at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Grand Prairie, Texas. 1 Corinthians 4:1-2 "Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful."
YouTube tips for Christians
5 Star any Christian on YouTube who is trying to further God's work. Do this only after praying for the Holy Spirit's guidance, however. Also, in the comment sections give thumbs up to Christians who are seeking to make positive points for Jesus and trying to defend God. MOST IMPORTANTLY: USE SCRIPTURE AT ALL TIME! It is our ONLY offensive weapon in spiritual warfare. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: (Ephesians 6:17)
